Jazmine Butler is a songwriter and musician. The New Orleans native and creative force known for her funky groove has played alongside artists such as Yahzarah, CHARM TAYLOR, Ha Sizzle, Big Fredia, Big Sams Funky Nation, Slick Rick And the late great Russell Batiste Jr.

Her affinity for music comes from the mid-60s to early 80s. 

She’s curated music for World Wide FM which she’s had the grace to be in the lineup with 2 of her favorite DJs, Soul Sister, Melissa Weber and Louie Vega.

Her most recent project MOOD is released under the alias Mookie Butler, a name that was coined by her grandmother Shirley Brown. It's a dance music project that exhibits her evolution and rebirthing of self as an artist.
