Gomela is an experience of collective memories passed down from generation to generation, a tapestry woven by a group of multi-disciplinary artists who represent the diversity of African Americans who call New Orleans home.

Homecoming Project aims to marry high-quality artistic practice with a commitment to maintaining the essential relationship between culture and progressive social change through engagement with New Orleans communities that have been historically oppressed and exploited.

Story Circle is central to Junebug’s art-making and engagement. Junebug uses the Story Circle methodology created by our founder John O’Neal to build bridges, facilitate brave spaces, share stories, and cultivate healing.
